Local College Scouting Organization reaches $3 million dollar scholarship milestone

Providence-- Since opening the doors in July 2002, National Scouting Report of Rhode Island has promoted over one hundred local high school student – athletes to colleges and universities across the country. NSR’s graduating class of 2003, 2004 and 2005 has been committed over $3,000,000.00 in scholarship monies to attend college. These monies range from Academic Achievement Awards, Merit-Based College Grants, Athletic Scholarships or a combination of all three.

NSR virtually brings college coaches into the homes of our local high school student athletes. NSR ask our high school student athletes to select 50 colleges per year of their choice based on their academic and geographical criteria. NSR then sends out a four page brochure of the student- athletes athletic photo, extracurricular activities, strong qualities character references, academic profile, athletic accomplishments, honors, personal statistics and high school coaches evaluation.

With NCAA rules and regulations limiting the college coach’s evaluation times, NSR has a web-based platform whereby any college coach can go online and view the evaluation videos of any NSR prospect. These videos include personal introduction of the student – athlete, skills footage, coach’s evaluation and game footage.

Locally, NSR wants to promote the cream of the crop high school student-athletes. These students who have made All State, All Division teams and have a strong academic record are the kids that qualify for the NSR program. July 1, 2005 is when a college coach can speak to a potential college prospect graduating class of 2006 by telephone once per week

National Scouting Report has been featured in Sports Illustrated and on CNN. College Coaches receive NSR packages free of charge.

The College Recruiting Process:
  1. Identification and Recognition Process:
  2. This is the most important part of the recruiting process. College coaches want to identify qualified high school student athletes as early as their freshmen year in high school.

  3. Qualification Process:
  4. Once a college coach has identified a potential college prospect usually they will mail out a letter of introduction and college questionnaire. The questionnaire will ask for academic and athletic information. Literally thousand of high school student athletes receive college questionnaires on a weekly basis.

  5. Evaluation Process:
  6. Once a college coach has received the questionnaire back from the high school student athlete the evaluation process begins. Based on your academic and athletic achievements you will be compared to the hundreds of other high school students athletes around the country that have similar or even better academic and athletic achievements then yourself. At this point a college coach will want to see you play. This begins the weeding out process.

  7. College Offer:
  8. A letter of intent will be offered to the most qualified student athlete that the college coach has identified, qualified and evaluated.

Mission Statement National Scouting Report of Rhode Island
The majority of all high school Student–Athletes, Fine Arts Students have short and long term goals. Most of their short term goals are to complete their high school education and go on to college and either participate in athletics, drama, visual arts, music, dance, etc., while getting a quality education. It is our goal to assist these high school students in the transition process from high school to college by exposing their (1) Academic, (2) Athletic, (3) Fine Arts credentials to every college and university in the United States for scholarship consideration.

Donald,

My family and I would like to thank you for everything you did for our son. He decided on attending Wentworth Institute of Technology to play on the men's soccer team.

I believe that your influence has helped him in his success. Once again, thank you for your guidance.

Donald,

This letter is to thank you for the assistance you provided our daughter in her College Search. She received many offers to apply and play softball at colleges and has selected St. Anselms in New Hampshire.

I am writing this letter of recommendation on the behalf of Donald Brown and National Scouting Report. The service provided by National Scouting Report helped our daughter receive recognition from College Coaches from around the country. These schools range from Div I - Div III. None of this would have been accomplished without National Scouting Report.

She received a softball scholarship to Delaware State.

Thank You,

Barbara Chrabaszez

Dear Donald,

This letter is to express how successful the National Scouting Report was for our son. Because of National Scouting Report promotions, our son was accepted to play football at St. Peters College in NJ on scholarship.
