Dear Ron,
Seldom do I take the time out to write a letter of thanks. It is
unreasonable to expect that my appreciation for your excellent and untiring
work can be expressed by the mere writing of words on a sheet of paper.
Your enthusiasm and your ability to motivate Kyley has resulted in a
successful end to her college search.
National Scouting Report is very fortunate to have you as their
area director. Your positive attitude and true concern for your clients is
the face of NSR. It is understandable why NSR has enjoyed such success.
It is to this end I would express not only my own appreciation, but the
thanks of Kyley and my wife for all the hard work you and NSR's staff have
provided during Kyley's journey.
If I can return any of the many favors you did us, all you have to do is
pick up the telephone. Do not hesitate to have prospective student athletes
and parents contact me for an endorsement and recommendation of National
Scouting Report's services. My best wishes to you always.
Sincerely yours,
Bill Longo
Dear Mr. Vrana,
I want to start off by saying that I appreciate everything that you have done for me from your advice to your ideas for a creative website and your ability to put me out on the market. I would not have been able to accomplish half of the offers that I received without you and National Scouting Report. You have given my father and me the knowledge on how college recruiting begins and ends, and it could not have ended any better for me. Thank you for everything, and I look forward to seeing you in the stands at Seton Hill next season.
I want to thank each and every one of you (at National Scouting Report) for all of your hard work and dedication in helping me achieve my college basketball career goals. With out you they would not have been reached. I appreciate everything you have done and how everything was done with 100% effort and efficiency. I have enjoyed my journey these past three years with National Scouting Report and I am glad that each and every one of you were apart of it. Again, thank you for everything.
Sincerely,
Kyley Longo
Dear
Ron,
I wanted to communicate to you the gratitude
of my husband, our son, Ryan, and myself for all the assistance and guidance
that you provided to us in the athletic recruitment process of Ryan.
When we first met, I was feeling VERY overwhelmed.
We were arriving home each day to multiple mailings from colleges/universities
as prestigious as Harvard, West Point, Lafayette, William & Mary,
etc., through institutions whose names we did not recognize. There was
so much confusions as to which ones we should respond to; what should
be included on the questionnaires; which camps he should consider attending,
etc. At that point the only thing we were sure of was that Ryan wanted
to play football at the collegiate level.
Our first meeting was low key and we felt
no pressure to contract with NSR, but the conversation clearly touched
on what I now call Recruiting 101, which consists of everything from very
basic information to the reality that this is a BUSINESS. Perhaps in larger
school districts there are more structured programs to guide parents/athletes
through this process but at our level, at the time, we were floundering
with no real answers or direction.
Obviously, we decided to take advantage
of your services and I can still remember the relief that I felt when
I placed the first forty questionnaires in the mail for NSR to handle.
This left us with the remaining colleges (those in which Ryan had a firm
interest and which appeared to be realistic options) to complete ourselves..
Quickly I learned as the mail kept arriving that a completed questionnaire
PLUS a copy of the Profile created by NSR about Ryan provided the recruiters
with a professional quality synopsis of Ryan and his abilities and accomplishments
(academic and athletic).
Over the next several months, he received
well over 160 mail/phone/school contacts and we continued to use the services
provided by NSR, including their creation and in some cases distribution
of his highlight and game tapes. I was comforted by the fact that we were
not ignoring potential college opportunities because it was becoming almost
a full time hob handling the schools that were important to Ryan.
We feel that the mentoring you provided
was invaluable and your expertise guided us through every phase of the
often-convoluted process. Selective choices of college recruit camps,
game visits, and ultimately recruiting visits whether at Ryan’s
high school, at the college/university campus, or at home allowed an extremely
busy but manageable senior post-season.
Ryan seriously thought through decisions
whether to pursue recruiting with schools/coaches of various levels and
various locations and eventually the possibilities were narrowed down
to six, to two, until his final selection. Though it was not the coveted
Division I or even a D-2 level school, Ryan appears satisfied with his
choice. Though it is too early in his collegiate experience to make any
determination, we believe that the college AND the team is a good fit.
More importantly, we feel that through your efforts, Ryan was skillfully
guided and there are no regrets of what could have or should have been
done in this process.
We will always respect and be grateful
for your personal and professional assistance and will be glad …to
express our satisfaction with out investment with NSR and more importantly
--- with you.
Gratefully,
The Parents of Ryan Mendel, Brentwood High School
Ron,
Matt has decided to go to Defiance College. The fit is right academically
(forensic science) and athletically. He will have the opportunity to play
both sports and study a major offered at few schools.
Without
NSR, none of this would have been possible. We wish we would have known
about NSR earlier. That, coupled with Matt's relative obscurity as a
kicker, limited his search. Don't interpret that as less than satisfied.
We got into the game late, but we got in and took advantage of what
was given.
We wouldn't
have looked at many of the schools he visited. I'm sure there are many
parents out there like Jean and me. We were considering public schools
thinking private schools were too expensive. In reality, we will pay
less at Defiance than we paid for either school my daughter has attended.
NSR opened
our eyes to the opportunities available to all students. We were able
to get a $4500 scholarship for our daughter at Murray State University
because NSR helped us focus.
Thanks for your help,
The Parents of Matt Daniel, Highlands (OH) High School
Ron,
Words cannot express our gratitude for your personal involvement today
in making Dan's college choice the best one. Without the pertinent information
you gathered, we could have made a big mistake just because of a dream
our son had to play Division I ball as a college student.
This year was very busy and different for all of us. Making it to all
the senior events, graduating from high school and now deciding on a college
has kept all of us on the edge of our seats and in the family Caravan
most of the time.
Going to Greensboro, North Carolina turned out to be exhausting. Dan knew
from day 2 that Guilford College would not be his choice. He said, "too
hot, too humid, and the bugs are too big"!!!!! All very true.
Dan talked to Coach Alan Sumner from Geneva around 6 PM today and told
him he'd be coming to Geneva College - the verbal commitment has now taken
place and the paperwork will follow this commitment.
Just wanted to thank you for always being just a phone call away. Your
quick response to questions and the encouragement with professional knowledge
has been a blessing to each of us and has helped us get through the recruitment
process for athletes. You were there at just the right time when we needed
you. NSR has been a top-notch organization/business to work with and I
hope you'll have many more years and clients through them.
NSR is just the service - you are the one that makes the prospective student
athlete succeed. We couldn't give a better example of how highly we recommend
you than the real action that took place today and how your support made
all the difference (about an $11,000 difference). We are so fortunate
to have you as our advisor/director.
You've been great, Ron.
The Parents of Dan Berty, Canon-McMillan High School
Ron,
We are writing this letter to thank you for all that you have done to make us aware of the opportunities for our daughter, Sara. As parents, our goal was to not only find the right college for her personally but the one that would put her in the best position to succeed academically and athletically. We have to admit, we had reservations when we first started talking to you…how hard could it be to pick a school? Little did we know! We were amazed at the amount of quality schools that were interested in Sara as a student and athlete. We have been very pleased with the results of dealing with NSR but mainly your sincerity in wanting only the best for our daughter. It is only because of you and NSR that she will be going to Juniata College in the fall to play basketball. She likes the coaches and players. Whatever happens now is in her hands, but as parents, we feel we have given her the best chance to succeed. We would like you to know you are welcome at our home any time you are in the area
