Ronald
Vrana is the Area Director of National Scouting Report - Allegheny
Region. This area includes all of western Pennsylvania and northern West
Virginia. Mr. Vrana has extensive coaching experience and has recruited
at the college level. He also has experience in college sports information
and promotions at Flagler College and Shippensburg University. He is a
former Director of Public Relations with the Richmond Braves Baseball
Club, the Triple-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves. Mr. Vrana earned numerous
national awards for curriculum development as Executive Director of Enterprise
& Education Foundation. He is listed in Who's Who in American Education
and Who's Who in American Business. Mr. Vrana coached high school sports
for 18 years producing numerous individual and team champions in track,
basketball, football and softball. Mr. Vrana also officiated high school
baseball, softball and track, and ASA softball. |
Don Wanninger is the area scout for the north central area of Pennsylvania. Wanninger is a graduate of Oliver High School in Pittsburgh where he lettered in football and tennis. His talents earned him All-City honorable mentions in football and second team All-City in tennis. Wanninger continued his academic career at Penn State - Beaver. His playing career ended after attending free agent tryouts for various football teams in the National Football League, as well as the USFL. With 17 years experience in management for JC Ehrlich Company, Wanninger also is a varsity basketball coach at Redbank Valley High School. |
Claudio Reilsono is the former general manager and lead scout for the Global Scouting Bureau where he assisted in placing over 1,000 baseball players onto professional rosters. He is currently the head baseball coach at Carnegie-Mellon University. Reilsono started his coaching career at Quaker Valley (PA) High School. During his tenure at Quaker Valley, Reilsono founded and coached the Sewickley semi-pro baseball team. He went on to coach at Penn-State-Beaver where he guided the team to the Penn State Commonwealth Championship and an appearance in the NJCAA National Championships. Reilsono also was an assistant coach at Duquesne University. A frequent guest on television and radio sports programs for his baseball expertise, Reilsono also conducts baseball camps, private lessons, and is a motivational speaker. |
Mike Florak is the Former Youngstown State University and Waynesburg University head baseball coach, Mike Florak became one of the youngest Division 1 head baseball coaches in the country when in the fall of 1998 he was named the coach at YSU. He coached 11 players in nine years who were either drafted or signed professional baseball contracts, including one first-round and one fourth-round selection. He led YSU to the 2004 Horizon League Championship and their first appearance in the NCAA Tournament. In 2004 and 2005, Florak was one of only 12 baseball coaches in the country selected to be an instructor at the NCAA YES Clinic at the College World Series.Under Florak, YSU also maintained a high degree of academic integrity in their baseball program. In 2002 and 2007, the YSU baseball team had the highest team grade point average for all of the men's team sports in the entire Horizon League. At Waynesburg, the baseball team also achieved in the classroom. In both of Florak's years (1997 and 1998), the Waynesburg baseball team had a team grade point average above 3.0. In 1997, the team had the highest team batting average in the nation. The 1998 team was the Presidents' Athletic Conference champions. Florak also was an assistant coach at Ohio University and West Liberty State. He was and assistant for the 1994 Steubenville (OH) Catholic Central High School and Steubenville American Legion state championship teams. Florak was drafted by the Seattle Mariners and still holds career records at Ohio University where he earned his undergraduate degree in communications and his Master's degree in education. |
