Parents:
Feel free to direct any questions regarding the recruiting process or the services we provide to Pat Daley.  He will gladly send a scout to your child’s event to evaluate his/her athletic talent, as long as they meet certain athletic and academic criteria.

Coaches:
We seek your guidance and honest evaluations regarding the talent level of the athletes that you coach – who knows about their ability more than you?  If you have any athletes that you feel can compete at the next level, please print a copy of our Coach Evaluation Form, fill it out and fax it along with a game/practice schedule to:

Pat Daley, Area Director: (503) 558-8497, or e-mail to: pdaley@nsr-inc.com

Hello, my name is Mark Coursey and I would like to share a little bit about myself. Salem, Oregon has been home to me and my family for nearly 48 years. I have been married for 23 years and have three children; two boys, 21 and 18 (both of whom are currently college baseball players) and a 17 year-old daughter. Sports have been a constant in my life; as participant, coach, and spectator. I have had the good fortune to coach and work with many young athletes who have made the step from high school to the college ranks. It is always exciting for me to see these athletes realize their potential and reach their goals.

In addition to coaching basketball and baseball for 14 years, I am also president of the American Legion Post 9 Baseball club; the 2006 Oregon State Champions. This job affords me the opportunity to see many fine baseball players throughout the state of Oregon and beyond.

Having both of my sons become college athletes, I have seen the college recruiting process - the good and the bad - first hand; this experience has taught me a great deal about how the process works. My affiliation as an Area Scout with NSR of Oregon allows me to share this knowledge and to assist the prospective college student/athlete and their family in realizing their dreams of an athletic scholarship and college education. Let me help you achieve your goals.

As Pat Daley, Oregon Director of NSR says in his introduction; "The time is now. You only have one opportunity to be recruited - don't leave it to chance."

For more information about NSR, or to set up an appointment to meet with me, please call (503) 302-6119 or email at mcoursey@nsr-inc.com.

Hi, my name is Greg Sharp. I have been involved in athletics in one way or another for the past 38 years. I am married to Mary Jo, who is a school administrator and former teacher, and I have 2 children, Lindsey (16) and Brady (12) who are very involved in athletics as well. I played high school football, basketball, and baseball at Grant Union High School in John Day. I played college baseball and soccer at Pacific University and baseball at Eastern Oregon University. I attended the U.S. Sports Academy in Alabama towards a Master in Sports Management.

I have served as Assistant General Manager and General Manager of the Minor League team in Bend, OR for the Anaheim Angels.

I have coached a number of high school sports, including baseball, softball, basketball and volleyball. I have also been involved in coaching youth baseball, softball and football.

I look forward to the opportunity given to me by the National Scouting Report and Pat Daley, Oregon Director of NSR to reach out to the high school students in the Eastern and Central Oregon areas, and provide them with the knowledge and great opportunity to be recruited to play athletics at the next level. As a parent in Eastern Oregon, I know the exposure of our many deserving high school athletes to colleges and universities is very limited, and I am grateful for the services that the National Scouting Report provides. The NSR provides the expertise and services to get your childs' accomplishments and abilities noticed by many college programs that would not normally even know your child exists.

Please call (541) 473-3802 or (208) 740-0788 to find out how we can make your student-athletes' dream of playing at the next level a reality.

Hello, my name is Roger Holmgren. I live in Eugene, Oregon, have been married for 15 years and have two kids, a son going into high school and a daughter entering middle school. I have been involved in sports, either as a participant, coach, or fan/spectator, for most of my life, and I enjoy them all. My own kids are very involved in baseball, softball, volleyball, and golf, and I've been lucky enough to coach some of their teams. I truly enjoy working with young people and watching them learn, grow, and achieve their dreams.

That is exactly why I joined National Scouting Report. Just like the sports our children participate in, getting into college is extremely competitive. For the qualified student-athlete, NSR can provide the exposure necessary to 'compete' at a higher level. (Having a student/athlete entering high school, and all too soon the college arena, I know how extremely important this is.) I truly believe that, with the help of NSR, great student-athletes, who might otherwise be overlooked, will be exposed to excellent opportunities previously unavailable.

I look forward to using my experience and working with NSR to provide the collegiate exposure you deserve and assist you and your student-athlete in bringing their game to the next level and achieving their dream of participating in college athletics and obtaining a quality education.

"Success is the peace of mind that is the direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you did your best to become the best that you are capable of becoming" -JW.  That is John Wooden's definition of success and I have tried to make it mine in my own life.  It's not an easy thing to do and I'm definitely not an expert at it by any means.

I have coached at the collegiate level for 4 of the last 5 years.  I started as an assistant under Jim Hayford and Whitworth University from 2003-2006.  While I was there we had two Second Place finishes in the conference and never finished lower than third.  In the 2006-2007 season, I was an assistant at Northwest Christian High School in Spokane, WA where we won the state 2B championship with a 29-1 record.  I also coached the JV that year and we went 18-2.  This past season I was at Cascade College in Portland, OR as an assistant for Coach Jon Shaw.  In every program that I have been a part of, my role has been to discover and develop the talent of the individuals on the team as well as assist in all other areas of the program as well.  I live in Portland, OR with my wife Sarah with no kids on the way yet.

Hello, my name is Dennis Cates. I've lived in the Portland area for 16 years and have been married to my wife, Kathy for 27 years. She is a school teacher and I've been in business management, sales and marketing, for 25 years. We have three teenagers - a son that just graduated, a son that's a high school freshman, and a daughter in middle school. I've been involved in sports as a participant, a youth coach and league board member, or a fan for most of my life. It has been a rewarding experience guiding my own kids as they develop academically, grow socially, improve athletically, and stay spiritually grounded. Young people need to be encouraged to work on all facets of their lives to prepare them for continued success.

My involvement with National Scouting Report is to help other parents make solid decisions that will maximize the college experience for their young student-athletes. There are many opportunities out there for the qualified student-athlete, and helping parents uncover all of them to find the right choices is the goal of NSR. I personally enjoy working with parents and their sons or daughters to help them discover the best opportunities for a college education where they can also continue to participate in athletics.
