There is
a major difference between trying to get recruited and actually getting
the job done. As athletes you understand the importance of players
performing their individual assignments during competition. The recruiting
process is no different. We must create a sound game plan and everyone
must do their part to ensure victory.
|
-
Qualify you as a legitimate college prospect.
-
Promote your abilities nationally, ensuring maximum recruiting opportunities.
-
Give you a competitive advantage over other athletes competing for the same position.
-
Provide exposure to all schools that offer your sport. The more exposure you receive, the more choices you have; the more choices you have, the more satisfied you will be with your college experience on all horizons.
|
-
Determine the athlete’s unique preferences and athletic abilities - NSR scouts will provide general guidelines for levels of competition - final determination of athletic abilities by college coaches and scouts.
-
Supply every college that offers the athlete’s sport with professional, credible information and thorough scouting reports of the kind, type, and frequency they desire and need.
-
Maintain constant contact and credibility with college coaches. We speak personally with dozens of college coaches per week via phone and e-mail.
-
Provide colleges with necessary evaluation tools and continual updates. (ie: edited videotape, season evaluations, skill improvements, academic data, stats, coach’s comments, honors, camp attendance etc.)
-
Consult with student athletes and parents.
|
The Role of the Student-Athlete & Parents:
-
Your dedication, effort, and performance may have gotten you recognized by NSR, but it will take your commitment, openness, and follow through to get you recruited.
-
Sharpen your work ethic. Improve your athletic skills and your grades. Maintain a good character, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude.
-
Consult with parents about academic and athletic options and Agree upon your preferences and realistic level of competition and relay that information to your NSR scout. You and your parents must concur upon your preferences so that NSR can expose you to the institutions that best meets these guidelines. However, athletic skill will determine which schools will show interest (If you are an NAIA caliber athlete, you will not see interest from NCAA DI) regardless of promotion or preferences.
-
Provide NSR with information that is: Credible, High Quality, Timely, and Updated.
-
Don’t fudge on stats, height, weight, times, grades, etc. The truth will come out.
-
Provide NSR with high quality video footage. Include game footage, skills demonstration, conditioning training, a personal interview, and your coach's personal recommendation of you.
-
Continuously submit relevant, credible information to improve your chances of being recruited.
-
Maintain regular contact with your NSR Scout. They are working for you.
|
NSR prospects are promoted to colleges using the most thorough and latest technology, including: DVD/CD-ROM – High-Quality full-length personal videos – Four-color printed promotions – Personal Web sites and e-mail addresses – monthly e-mail scouting reports – Internet – personal college contactsRecruiting today is very competitive. NSR has a proven successful
system in place to assist you in the exposure/recruiting process. We
are not a college and cannot give you an athletic scholarship to any
school you choose. Often the difference between success and failure
is taking advantage of an opportunity. Will you allow some other student-athlete
to be more committed to this process, take more control and responsibility
for their future, and end up taking away your athletic opportunity?
