Steve Hood is a seasoned sports industry veteran that spans over 40 years. As a high school football standout, he received a full scholarship to play linebacker at a Division – I university where he was a three year starter.

Although he wasn’t in the NFL draft, he did receive an invitation from a Professional Team to try-out as a walk on. Steve didn’t make the team but he said; “I feel very fortunate to at least have had the opportunity that very few college athletes get”.

Since then, Steve has had a full schedule with coaching football, basketball and softball along with his duties of scouting high school athletes.

When recently asked what was his greatest reward, He said; “My greatest two rewards in life are helping a high school student athlete get to the collegiate level on a scholarship, especially the ones who might not even have gone to college without my help, and to have so much support and understanding from my beautiful wife and two great daughters because of all the hours I work”.
