Coach Evaluation

Team was 2006 5A State runner-up. . . . will be a 3-year starter. . . . . great combination of size and speed. Jordan is an excellent tackler who excels at reading the play and recognizing his gap responsibility. He plays within the structure of the defense. Has all-around skills as evidenced by his 2 interceptions this season, returning one for a touchdown. Has the strength and speed to play any linebacker position in any scheme.

Coach: Rob Holman, Defensive Coordinator, Carmel High School

Scouting Report

Jordan, after a successful off-season training program, began the season with a tremendous improvement in his muscular mass and 40 times. He also matured quickly playing in a conference that produces several of the top college prospects in Indiana. Unfortunately, he suffered a hand injury early in the season that required minor surgery, keeping him out of four games. Jordan was allowed limited practice time while on injured reserve, once he was cleared; Jordan was back on the field. He has shown this season that he has the intensity that it takes to play at the next level. Jordan gained some attention in the state championship game when he stopped Warren Central's national ranked offense with with an excellent blitz. He shed several blocks this year stopping opposing running backs at the line of scrimmage. Jordan also showed major improvements in his reads, reacting quickly, contributing to his team’s success with two key interceptions in the play off games subsequent to his surgery. This is an aggressive young linebacker with solid grades you will want to see next season.
