I joined the NSR team again after working in the Business Development field for the last 20 plus years. Going back to scouting with NSR was the easiest decision because of their dedication to finding scholarship opportunities for athletes around the globe that possess the talent, desire, and motivation to compete at the collegiate level. Providing athletic evaluations, academic guidance, and an in-depth education on the recruiting process is my passion again. Upon successful evaluation, qualification and acceptance to the National Scouting Report we will provide the appropriate link between the student athlete and over 2,200 colleges and universities across the country. I pride myself on looking, finding and scouting prospects firsthand and making sure they meet certain academic and athletic requirements that I am proud to present to NSR and then every college in the country. Having played many sports at many different levels like, Baseball, Basketball, Football and Fast Pitch Softball also coaching High School Baseball and a previous scouting background, I have an understanding and experience about recruiting trials and tribulations that I look forward to sharing with my prospects.About Area Director, Donald Silk
As a kid growing up in Southern California Don played all the major sports, but excelled at Basketball and Beach Volleyball. It wasn't until the age of 14 that he focused on the sport that would pave his way to college, and that was golf. He was a stand out golfer at Palisades High School where he earned All City honors both his Junior and Senior years. His golf talents landed him at the University of Southern California (USC) where he played on the Varsity golf team for 3 years. After graduating from USC with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Don played the major amateur golf circuits to hone his skills before he made the career move to turn professional. His professional career consisted of stints on the Canadian PGA Tour, California Golden State Tour as well other satellite tours throughout the USA. He is a 5 time club champion at the Riviera Country Club where he has been a member for over 40 years!! He holds the low 72 hole score in the Riviera CC Club Championship and the low single round score of 66.
After his golf career, Don put his College degree to work in the business world where he ultimately landed at NSR, his dream job. Helping kids live out a DREAM!! What could be better!!

Growing up, I was always involved in various sports activities, which sparked my passion for sports at an early age. I knew that I wanted a career where he could wake up every day feeling motivated and inspired, and that's why I became a scout for high school athletes looking to play collegiate sports.With years of experience in the field, I have developed a keen eye for identifying talent and potential in young athletes. I'd like to think I have an innate ability to spot skill and talent in high school athletes and to guide them towards achieving their goals of playing at the college level. My tireless dedication to helping these athletes achieve their dreams will earn me a reputation as one of the best scouts in the industry.I have a sincere and genuine approach to scouting and that is what will set me apart from others in the field. I take the time to get to know each athlete on a personal level and assesses not just their athletic abilities, but also their work ethic, character, and overall potential.
